Bird Park Concerts The Neighborhood Challenge

Bird Park Summer Concerts

2013 is our 11th Anniversary!

The Neighborhood Challenge!

How cool is YOUR neighborhood?

The Bird Park Summer Concerts have been bringing residents together for 11 years now, spawning a tradition of families and neighborhood friends attending concerts with kids, grandfolk and dogs in tow, trailing wagons and buggies filled with food and drink! Concert evenings are balmy, relaxed gatherings where kids can run around in family-friendly surroundings, while adults enjoy one another's company.

Although the concerts are free to attend, each one costs about $3500 to produce. The North Park community has always contributed generously to help make them happen, with individual donations ranging from $50 to $3000. The largest donations have been from businesses and area schools, which benefit from recognition in concert advertising and at each concert. Now, YOUR North Park neighborhood can gain recognition by donating to the Bird Park Summer Concerts!

We know you LOVE your cool neighborhood in North Park - many of you gather regularly in First Fridays and Neighborhood Watch groups, often bringing them to a concert or three in the summertime. Here's the Challenge: contact your neighbors and raise at least $500 by June 15th, pick a date for your neighborhood event at one of the concerts this summer, contact Concert Chair Lynn Elliott at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to arrange your 'Cool Neighborhood' evening at the concerts, and then sit back on the lawn at Bird Park, enjoy the music and bask in the appreciation of your community for meeting the Neighborhood Challenge! Ah, life is SO good here in North Park!
