North Park Community Walking ToursAs part of the process to update the Community Plan for our community, there are walking tours of our various neighborhoods being organized. The first one is being organized by Walk San Diego on Saturday February 6th with a starting location of Roosevelt Middle School If you wish to attend, please be at Roosevelt by just before 9AM. Self Guided Walking Tours The community planning update team would like your help in taking a closer look at North Park and providing us your opinions. The team has identified four different routes that showcase the unique aspects and challenges of North Park. You are not required to take all four tours, but we would like to get at least 3 committee members to volunteer for each route. The routes all solicit input on parking, land use, bike facilities, pedestrian facilities and other design issues. The questions are easy to answer and are specific to projects or segments along the route. You should assume 2 hours for each tour. We would recommend that they are done by walking, however if you should choose to take the tour by another mode of transportation please indicate so in the boxes provided. Please note that the stops are too frequent and close together for driving safely and the environment should be experienced as a pedestrian. The one route exception would be the Western Area / Park Boulevard Route, which would best be experienced on a bike. Route 4, South Area / Burlingame, can also be experienced well on a bike.
