The most important part of the evening will be the time that we as a community break out into four small groups and generate ideas and discussion around four core topic areas. These four are:
Shortly after the meeting, a small group of representatives from each entity will get together to begin an implementation plan. The first step will be to prioritize the ideas received, identify which agency or group will be responsible for which ideas—as well as which ideas are just not feasible for legal, financial or other reasons—and create a timeline for implementation of ideas. We will explain what steps were taken, what criteria for prioritizing we used, and post the actual plan to this website once it is in place.VERY IMPORTANTTo get the most out of the discussion about ALBA School and the Joint Use Areas, it is important to understand how the system works. Proposition S funds are not available for any and every use. The School District is bound by statute to look at requirements for the school. For this reason, we must come to the meeting understanding how our interests align with the School District’s requirements and highlight those points when possible. The NPCA is recruiting representatives to serve a three-hour commitment per month as an NPCA Representative to the Recreation Council. It is a fixed time commitment and you can help with long-term solutions. It might be as simple as reporting everything you see at the Park. We are working to set up a system so those who don’t feel comfortable reporting close to home can contact other NPCA members to report for them. Use your strengths: help from home, search the Internet for resources, talk to neighbors about getting involved—these are all ways to help in small, manageable ways Please RSVP to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
