Need a Christmas Cactus?  If you like cactus & succulents, you'll LOVE this funky, unique, and unassuming outdoor plant store filled with TONS of beautiful specimens...large and small.

Exotic Gardens is located at 2212 El Cajon Blvd, across from the Lafayette Hotel, in what was an empty lot once upon a time, but is now a  sanctuary for a plethora of plant life.  Some are as little as $2.00.

Hours are Tuesday-Sunday, 10am-6pm. The owner, Carl, makes and sells his own special potting soil (some kind of secret recipe) which is $5 for a huge bag.  I can vouch for it.  It's good stuff.  Looks kinda funny (very white and "snowy") but my plants have been happy in it.  One of his employees, Samantha, is super knowledgeable about everything they sell.  She was a great help to me as I was making selections for my yard awhile back.  If you stop by, take a peak at the hidden little growing area on the side where he cultivates baby plants.  LOTS of them.

Kinda fun to see.  I recommend checking this place out someday.  Be sure to give yourself time to wander around for awhile.  Might be the perfect place to pick-up that last gift you haven't bought yet.
