The Toyland Parade - Pacific Coast Harmonizers and more...

North Park Neighborhood Blog

Locals talk about North Park from their perspectives

We had an entry in the weekend's Toyland Parade.  Before it all got started, the Pacific Coast Harmonizers had an entry in the parade and I managed to catch them warming up.  They have two performances of their Holiday Show on December 12th, see their site for more information.   Here's the video of  You Tube

For our entry, a few parents from the Under 5 Network joined in and passed out these candy canes:

But in addition to that, we saw many things that helped show why the event was such a great one.  Here are some of the highlights...

And the youngsters from Jefferson Elementary turned out with more than two dozen parents and family with some very creative signs

There were also old Model T Fords like this one

The Hoover High School band got into the act by warming up their hands

And the North Park Historical Society even got into the act (which is the real water tower?)

But of course, none of this would be possible without all the great work of North Park Main Street, one of North Park's three Business Improvement Districts, and all the tremendous volunteers like this one, thanks Jody:
