If you're a coffee fan, you've most certainly been to Lestats in Normal Heights.
Lestats is the epitome of the eclectic local flair that is Normal Heights (a different link). It touts a quirky decor, diverse clientele and goth-y atmosphere... not to mention lots of live entertainment, including open-mic nights, stand-up comics and indie music acts.
The coffee is quite tasty. But in my opinion the best part of Lestats is the sitting space. And there are even more places to sit... they've added a big, roomy hall with plenty of tables and chairs.
If I could nit-pick just a little, I'd say some of the chairs could be a little sturdier, most especially the ones around the big table of the new hall. The place also could use some better air conditioning when it gets toasty.
Otherwise, hanging-out at Lestats is a simple pleasure, not to be missed.
